Avery House Museum. One of Ft. Collins best
examples of it's history. A National Historic Place. Built in 1879. The
house is a living museum. The
owner and builder Franklin Avery is the man we have to thank for the wide
streets as he was the towns first surveyor. |

Discovery
Science Center Museum. 703 E. Prospect Ft Collins. Colorado's
only hands on science and technology center with 130 incredible

Fort Collins Water Works Museum. In addition to
ensuring an adequate supply of water for fighting the frequent fires
that plagued the early township, the
Historic Water Works provided the growing town of Fort Collins
with drinking water. The 26 acre Water Works site also features
evidence of a portion of the Cherokee Trail, and is an important
landmark for conveying the story of this famous route, which led
gold seekers, emigrants, and outlaws through the Western Frontier.

is to explore the legacies of the peoples and environments of the
Cache La Poudre River Valley.

John and Inez Romero House Museum. constructed
by hand of adobe bricks in 1927, marks the immigration and active
recruitment of Hispanic laborers seeking employment in the sugar
beet industry boom that began at the turn of the twentieth century.
The John and Inez Romero House, which will formally be known as The
Museo de las Tres Colonias, conveys the stories of hardship,
perseverance and success experienced by Hispanic immigrants to the
Fort Collins area.

Museum Of
Contemporary Art. Located in Old Town Ft Collins in the old Post Office
building on College Ave and Oak St. plaza. The art museum's mission is
to promote the creation and appreciation of contemporay art to the
community. It has exhibitions, lectures and shows on a busy schedule. Link |
If it is entertainment you want there are venues that
have almost all sports including professional hockey, football and
semi-pro baseball and of course all of the activities of Colorado State
University a member of the MWC. Also many national entertainment acts
visit the Fort Collins area including music, ice shows, rodeos and much
more. The is also no lack of shopping with new retail centers opening in
virtually all directions and there is "Old Town" for eating, shopping
and entertainment. Fort Collins is also home to four breweries from the
large Budweiser plant to New Belgium, Odell's., Fort Collins Brewery and
many brew pub's. There is always something to do in Fort Collins
Colorado.
